Gorey X-Ray Imaging offers GP’s a convenient local referral pathway to fast X-ray diagnosis that is affordable and straightforward for patients.

OPENING HOURS

We run X-ray clinics for pre-booked patients by GP referral on weekdays. Patients may call our clinic for live X-ray availability to book an appointment. We offer both morning and afternoon appointments.

RESULTS

We aim to send the Radiologists reports to back to the referring GP within 48 working hours or if you require more urgent reporting, please let us know as soon as possible and we will endeavour to arrange it for you.

ACCESS TO ORIGINAL IMAGES

Gorey X-ray Imaging can provide patients with the option to access their X-ray images via a CD copy, should they require this to assist with further medical care.

CLINICAL GOVERNANCE

All of our X-rays are performed by CORU registered and highly skilled & experienced radiographers using a Care Stream Digital X-ray imaging system

Our Consultant Radiologists are Irish Medical Council (IMC) registered

Our Medical Physics Experts (MPE) are registered with the register of Medical Physics Experts in compliance with regulations related to Council Directive 2013/59/Euratom

All personnel follow strict Radiation Safety Precautions in compliance with both SI 30 of 2019 (IRR19)(Radiation Protection of the Public and Workers) and SI 256 of 2018 (Radiation Protection of the Patient)

Fully licensed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)

Full HIQA assessed Compliance with the European Union (Basic Safety Standards for Protection against Dangers Arising from Medical Exposure to Ionising Radiation) Regulations 2018 2019. Most recent HIQA Inspection (09/09/21)

Our services are delivered by a highly experienced clinical team of CORU registered radiographers and IMC registered Radiologists in a friendly, patient centred environment.

We focus on providing a timely and accessible service whether you are a competitive sportsperson or a patient trying to regain health by investigating an illness or injury.

All X-rays will be reviewed by Consultant Radiologist and a detailed report will be sent to your doctor outlining the X ray findings and any recommendations.
