Gorey X-ray Imaging offers patients efficient local access to rapid X-ray diagnosis that is affordable and straightforward whilst offering General Practitioners a convenient local pathway for their patients enhancing availability to faster X-ray service provision in the community.
Our services are delivered by a highly experienced clinical team of CORU registered Radiographers and IMC registered Radiologists with over 40 years combined experience in a friendly and professional environment with a high standard of patient care at the heart of what we do.
Our dedicated patient support admin team can be contacted with any queries, Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm on our direct line (087 4546556).
We endeavour to create a personal, efficient and pleasant patient experience with fast turnaround times from the referral letter being received for X-ray to the X-ray report being sent back to a patients GP.
Emma Curry
Senior Radiographer
BSc, PgD, PgC CORU: RA06255
Emma originally studied at Glasgow Caledonian University and qualified as a Diagnostic Radiographer in 1999. Emma completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Computed Tomography in 2001 and Postgraduate Certificate in Mammography in 2006.
Emma holds over 20 years experience in Ireland working in large technical hospitals and currently holds the role of Clinical Specialist in the Beacon Hospital also.
Dr. Brian Lucey
Consultant Radiologist

Dr. Lucey is a graduate of NUI, Cork (1993) and of the Faculty of Radiology, RCSI (2000). He underwent a two-year sub specialty Fellowship training in Abdominal Imaging and Interventional Radiology, including vascular imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston followed by a Fellowship in Body Imaging at Boston University Medical Centre (BUMC) including women’s imaging and musculoskeletal imaging. Following this Dr. Lucey was an attending staff radiologist at BUMC and went on to become Section Head of Body Imaging at BUMC. From there he moved to the Boston VA Healthcare System where he became Acting Chief of the Radiology Service until he returned to Ireland in 2008. Dr. Lucey is a Consultant Radiologist at the Galway Clinic.
Bernadette Egan
Patient Support Liaison
Bernadette maintains responsibility for all aspects of Patient Support at Gorey X-Ray Imaging with over 20 years, experience in customer care, administrative and regulatory services before joining the Healthcare Sector.
Bernie originally from Gorey, received her higher education in Dorset Institute of Commercial Management and completed her qualifications in Business Management and Accounting as well as Computer Applications. She progressed from education to work in in Bankers Trust and Scottish Provident International Financial Institutions before expanding her career into Regional Insurance Claims management with Quinn Direct.
Bernie returned to Education at UCD in more recent years and has continued to work in administrative roles prior to joining Gorey X-Ray Imaging. Outside the clinic Bernie is very busy with 4 energetic children and is active in her local community looking out for her elderly family and neighbours and in her precious free time enjoys reading and walking.
